I’m tempted to say that I’ve never been happier than now for a Friday, but I know that wouldn’t be true. So I will just say that this is one of the happiest Fridays I’ve ever had. This week was long. Thank God for that the weekend is here…if I had some beer I would drink a few and chill. But I don’t (Sometimes I really miss Mexico) so I’m going to grab some ice cream and watch Babel (Finally) I’ve discovered that I really like the word “finally”. It’s so authoritative and definite. Harrier Attack: The Second Sortie

I still find it quite odd to note that to date we’ve still not seen a decent remake of the seminal (if you’re me) Durell classic Harrier Attack. To be truthful, it’s a bit of a mystery as to why - the original game was hardly a complex beast and yet no, there’s still scant in the way of loving for the game. You may be aware that Mike Richardson himself has also created his own sequel, to my mind it turned out a rather overcomplicated affair and as can so often be the way drifted far too muc
The Sickest Man On Earth

Did you read the news about the Austria man who imprisoned his own daughter in the basement for 24 years? I read that he single-handedly built a basement that included rooms, kitchen and toilet and kept the poor daughter in there, raping her as and when he liked it. And even before she disappeared when she was in her late teens, she was already subjected to physical and sexual abuse for at least seven years. It is amazing that nobody ever wondered what happened to her, or made an effort at all

Friday’s Mean Good News! Author: Gabrielle Faust 09.05.2008 Well, this week has wrapped up in an excellent way! Earlier today I dropped by Dragon’s Lair Comics, one of the most well-known comics shops in Austin and my personal haunt for, oh, the past 18 years, and met with the manager about a possible Eternal Vigilance signing in June. He was very enthusiastic about the idea and is interested in setting me up, possibly, on June 21st (mark your calendars!!). I hopefully will have a confir
